A few weeks ago, I asked my Friday friends for some new dip suggestions since I was growing tired of the same old ones I’ve made over and over again. I received tons of ideas! I had some feta cheese in the fridge, so I whipped this one up as soon as I saw it. Y’all, Lou says this is her new favorite! It is so good! Serve it with some homemade pita chips, and your friends will not be disappointed!
Whipped Feta Dip
Ingredients:
1 8-ounce package feta cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon dill
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (topping)
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (topping)
Olive oil for a drizzle on top (topping)
Directions:
Using your food processor, combine all the ingredients EXCEPT the last three topping ingredients. Run the food processor until the mixture is smooth. Adjust for salt and pepper. Spread the dip on a medium serving plate with a lip. Drizzle the olive oil on top before sprinkling it with the sesame seeds and the red pepper flakes. I serve alongside pita chips.
