Recently, Candice brought me her uncle’s personal cookbook. I had the best time looking through all his old recipes he created. Candice says he was the best cook in Texas, and they loved tasting his creations. I came across this little concoction and just had to give it a try. Snacks are my weakness, and I think this one is perfect for the beach or for a bar snack. The best part is that they are so easy to make.
Snappy Snack Crackers
Ingredients:
2 sticks butter, melted
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
16 ounces oyster crackers
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Combine all the seasonings and parmesan cheese with the melted butter and mix well. Add in the oyster crackers and toss to coat. Transfer the coated crackers to a large baking sheet and bake for about 30 minutes. Stir about half way through the baking. Remove from oven and cool before storing in an air tight container.
