Mrs. Erin's Bacon Jam Cheese Ball
Ingredients:
2 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 3-ounce package dried beef, coarsely chopped in the food processor
3 green onions, chopped
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, juice removed
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 2.5-ounce packages of Real Bacon bits
1 jar Terrapin Ridge Hot Pepper Bacon Jam
Directions:
Thoroughly combine all ingredients except the bacon bits and the bacon jam and form into a ball. Wrap the ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate until time to serve. When using packaged bacon bits in a non-baked appetizer, I usually place the bacon bits on a small baking sheet and run them through my toaster oven about 5 minutes to crisp them up. Allow them to cool. When time to serve, remove the plastic wrap from the refrigerated cheese ball. Gently roll the cheese ball in the bacon bits covering It completely. Place on a rimmed serving dish and top with 1/2 jar of the bacon jam. More bacon jam can be added later as needed. I served with Wheat thins.
