An and Bill Faulkner were some of the very first Bezonians I met after moving there in 1993. An worked with me at State Farm. She and Bill introduced me to some of the finer things in life. Living in the small town of Belzoni, anything out of the ordinary had to be mail ordered. Hardly a day passed that An didn’t receive a UPS package at the office containing some of these finer things. One of those was Maytag Blue Cheese shipped directly from the Maytag Farm in Newton, Iowa.
Much like FNPP, An and Bill entertained friends on Wednesday evenings and called the gathering Choir Practice. Several young parents would drop their children off at the First Baptist Church for children’s choir practice then run over to the Faulkner’s for a quick snack and maybe a cocktail before returning to the church to pick up their children. An served a wedge of Maytag Blue Cheese one night alongside some crackers and fig preserves. My life was forever changed. Order some for yourself, and I think you will agree.
