Honestly, I prefer caramel sauce over hot fudge sauce, just like I prefer pralines over fudge. My children prefer hot fudge like their Mama. This sauce is good over ice cream, but I’ve also used it for a topping for cakes and pies. Its uses are endless. I wanted to be sure to include it on the Friday Night Porch Party website.
Jay's Carmel Sauce
Ingredients: 1 cup of brown sugar 1 stick of butter 1 cup of whipping cream
Directions: Combine butter and sugar in a small boiler on medium heat until combined. Whisk in the whipping cream. Continue stirring and simmer about 5 minutes until thickened a bit.
