Flank Steak Marinade for Grilling

Not long after the construction on their new home was completed, David and Kim Humphreys had us over for dinner. The Humphrey’s daughters, Claire and Megan, are the same age as Jack and Ellen, so our families are very close. For that first dinner in their new home, they served grilled flank steak, which we had never before. Lou and I both loved it and had to have the recipe. It’s become a staple in our home. I’m not certain of the difference, but this marinade can be used on flank steak, skirt steak, or flat iron steak. These are very affordable cuts of meat for a large crowd at your next Friday Night Porch Party.

Flank Steak Marinade for Grilling

Ingredients:

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon garlic power

Directions:

Combine the liquid ingredients in a zip lock bag and set aside. Lay the flank steak on a cutting board and coat both sides with the garlic powder. Fork both sides of the steak with a kitchen fork. Place the steak in the zip lock and refrigerate 2-3 hours or until ready to grill.
