The only salad dressing I can remember from my childhood was Thousand Island dressing. I’m sure there were others, but not on my menu. My mom made a simple side salad that included chopped iceberg lettuce, bacon bits, shredded cheddar cheese, tomatoes and Thousand Island dressing. We had it last night for dinner, and my children questioned why we’ve never had it before. It’s so good!
