This dip is certainly in the family with good old-fashioned guacamole, but I think you will like the addition of the cream cheese. It adds a very nice creaminess. I also like that it keeps a nice color while out for a while because traditional guacamole often turns brown shortly after being served.
Avocado Dip
Ingredients:
2 avocados, mashed
1 8-ounce cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 fresh jalapeno, minced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
A few dashes of hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Begin by combining the avocados, cream cheese and mayonnaise. Add in remaining ingredients. Refrigerate. This dip is great served with Jay’s Homemade Tortilla Chips.
